Our menu has a focus on using sustainable produce, lots of local and often foraged ingredients. The dishes change often, along with the seasons. We have our own smoker so we smoke our own meat, fish and veggies. It’s real, honest food, full of flavour and the dishes are designed to pass around the table so everyone can interact and enjoy the same shared experience.

Made from wild fermentations with Organic Apples including the skins and pulp – like a good red wine. Their natural cider making philosophy has no filtration or added sulphites. Look out for the Tamarillo Cider with Amarillo Beer hops! Their ciders have won awards and trophies, chief cider maker Justin Oliver is head judge on the New World supermarkets panel.
Fancy your skill in the Military Arts? You will be taught the technique of axe hurling from qualified instructors, then it’s time to try your hand for real ‘actively supervised’ of course! A bit of friendly competition is to be had and we’ll see who comes out on top. Note: this activity operates under very robust Health and Safety Policy and within strict guidelines.

Travel from Auckland central on luxury coach with an optional Albany collection, we start the day in an entertaining way - axe hurling! Then it's off to legendary 8 Wired Brewery in Matakana for a tutored tasting platter of their exquisite craft beer, and then tutored tastings of the Bohemian Organic Cider range and Lunch. We allow time to get along to the Matakana Market if you want. We then travel to Sawmill Brewery for a sampling of their core range, and second, long, seasonal lunch! Finally the coach home James!

11 am Depart Auckland
Travel on our luxury coach from Auckland central via Albany bus station to Matakana
12 pm Arrive at Action Matakana for some axe throwing instruction
Learn this skill from trained instructors then use your newfound knowledge in a bit of a competition
1 pm Visit 8 Wired Brewery for a tutored tasting and lunch
Sample the incredible range including some barrel aged beers opened especially for us. 2nd of August departure is specifically focused on the DARK BEER FEST
2 pm Bohemian Cidery

3 pm Travel to Sawmill Brewery for a Local Artisan Late Long Lunch
Taste their core range and relax over a tasty local artisan meal
7.30 pm Board the bus to journey back to Auckland CBD
